Twee halen, één betalen.

The Dutch love all coupons, discounts, and cheap/free stuff attract in the same way as shiny objects attract  magpies. Some of them even have a stash from which they can pull out a coupon for a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. Grocery stories contribute to this by constantly having some sort of a campaign going on.

For the past 3 months, you could get a luxurious pro knife for a fraction of its price. Yours truly got 4 (they were cheap!) and before that there were discount coupons to go do sports…

The most recent campaign, however, is my favourite one so far: discount to Efteling (the Dutch version of Disneyland)! Yaaaaay! And after today’s shopping alone, I can get the tickets for me and 4 of my friends for almost nothing (thenagain my birthday is coming up and I had to prepare for the party). Oh how Dutch I have become…
