Letter From Home

I live 2400 kilometres from the place I grew up in. Where my family and first friends are. That is pretty far, one might argue. Over the years, it has gotten slightly easier to deal with the distance,  to accept it but there are always those moments when you want to curl up in a ball because of home sickness. Today was one of those days…

It had been a long day and when I got home, there was a letter waiting for me. I got a letter from home with a birthday card and a waterfall was ensured. As nice as it is to receive handwritten letters, they can definitely make you feel even more sad. To make you feel all alone, no matter how many people you have around you at that moment. Special yet bittersweet.

Kiitos äiti kirjeestä. Rakastan sinua.

Ps. Yes, I’m a cat person.
